Patrick Stewart redux

May 12, 2010

TOTD has posted before on one of the UK’s best actors:

https://reden.wordpress.com/2008/09/16/patrick-stewart/

but last night we not only got to see him in Bingo (http://www.cft.org.uk/cft-productions_details.asp?pid=366) but meet him as well.  (Yes, usual fanboy gabble and did-i-really-say-that? ensued).  So this seems like a good opportunity to say thank you the man himself for his patience and goodnaturedness – not to mention signing two autographs with a pen we couldn’t easily ‘open’.

And here are some more URLs:

The RSC version of Hamlet was recently in alongside David Tennant is now available on DVD:

and here’s an interesting article from the Guardian:

Let us know if you think banter with the actors on stage is part of being ‘the audience’.

David Tennant

The world may not have fallen into a Black Hole created by the Large Hadron Collider but it looks as though TOTD has.

Our apologies for the hiatus, but TOTD has been rather distracted by a library visit to Stratford to see the really really excellent _Hamlet_.  (And no, we’re not selling the two programmes we managed to get signed.)  All sold out unfortunately and perhaps unsurprisingly, but here are some David Tennant links instead:

Best of the lot without doubt (and semi-official as he often posts messages to fans here:

Also good:

and his wikipedia entry is here:

The RSC link to the Hamlet production is here:

and going slightly further afield (as it were), the BBC’s Doctor Who page is here:
