Wenlock Olympian Society


Wenlock and Mandeville, the official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic mascots were unveiled last week (does anyone else think they look like Gogo’s Crazy Bones, the collectible figurines?).


Wenlock is named after the town of Much Wenlock in Shropshire, home to the first ever Olympian Games that were held here in 1850. There’s more about the Wenlock Olympian Society here:
